Victor Sawyer is a lifelong musician and educator hailing from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³», TN. Through a diverse career he has had the distinct privilege of fusing his musical and academic identities to support artistic excellence in the classroom and on the stage. As a performer he has performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival, South by Southwest, Beale Street Music Festival and with Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» legends such as 8Ball and MJG, Valerie June, Steve Cropper, Wendy Moten and many more. in addition to leading the Lucky 7 Brass Band.
As a Teaching Artist, Sawyer has implemented holistic music education to students at the world famous Stax Music Academy, PRIZM Ensemble, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Jazz Workshop, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Music Initiative and presented for the Association for Popular Music Education. Sawyer is a graduate of the University of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» and Manhattan School of Music.
